Dr.J. Craig SmithVeterinarianDVM
Dr. J. Craig Smith is the Practice Owner and Senior Veterinarian at Pet Wellness Center, PC. Dr. Smith graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University. Dr. Smith has special interests in surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, and dentistry. He has two pets of his own; a yellow labrador retriever named Sadie and a quarterhorse horse named Jesse. Blessed with a large family, he and his wife, Cera Smith, have five daughters: Ashley, Cera Ann, Jessica, Katherine, and Lauren. When he's not practicing medicine at the clinic, you can find him showing horses and raising his cattle. His compassionate nature and dedication to helping people and pets has helped shape Pet Wellness Center into an industry leader in veterinary excellence.
Dr. Allen Hodapp is an Associate Veterinarian with the Pet Wellness Center. He joined the practice in 2013, after practicing in Sparta IL. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in May of 2011. His interests in the veterinary field started very early in his childhood. He would spend days helping at his grandparents dairy farm. He has special interests in large animal preventative medicine and education, as well as small animal radiology, dermatology, and neonatology. When not working with animals, Dr. Hodapp can be found fishing, biking, and spending time outdoors with his two dogs, Roman and CJ. He is looking foward to getting to know you and your beloved pets while providing quality veterinary care to them.
Dianna KentCustomer Care Specialist
Dianna Kent joined The Pet Wellness Center in March 2013. She has had a passion for animals since she was a young girl. She started her journey in 1999 working in the veterinary field assisting anywhere that her help was needed. She enjoys working with exotics, smaller animals, caring for the sick, and keeping the healthy ones healthy. She owns 2 dogs Bella and Levi, 3 cats Tiger, Indy, and Whiskers. Dianna is a mother of beautiful daughter and a handsome son, who are her world. She loves to be outdoors 4-wheeling, fishing, gardening, and sewing.
Laura CzechowskiVeterinary Technician
Laura Czechowski has been with the practice since June 2013. She is from the northwest suburbs of Chicago and worked at her local veterinary clinic in high school. She majored in Animal Sciences at SIUC with a specialization in equine studies. Laura has a cat, dog, horse, and 3 snakes. In her free time she loves to jump her horse, Rei and play paintball. Her special interests are in equine management care with a strong focus on nutrition and preventative maintenance.

Angela Frerking has been caring for your pets at Pet Wellness Center since early 2011. She and her partner in crime, Pomeranian Mia Bella, enjoy shopping (for fancy little dresses for Mia!), being crafty, and making flower arrangements. Recently married to her husband James Frerking, she is enjoying every second of the newlywed life. Angela has a true passion for animals and appreciates each one individually. When you board your pet, Angela treats him or her with the same care she pampers her furbaby Mia Bella with each day.
